Exercise is the miracle cure we've always had, but for too long we've neglected to take our recommended dose. Our health is now suffering as a consequence. This is no snake oil. Whatever your age, there's strong scientific evidence that being physically active can help you lead a healthier and happier life.

The physical and mental benefits of exercise don’t stop just because you have your period. In fact, sticking with a routine can actually help ease some of the common complaints that accompany menstruation. If you’re concerned about how your period will affect your fitness routine, you’re not alone.

Not only is group fitness having a moment, but it's having a significant impact on our health, too. Research shows that the healthy actions of others rub off on us. A study published in the Journal of Social Sciences found that participants gravitate towards the exercise behaviors of those around them.

Creating a space where women feel confident and empowered when they workout promotes inclusivity and enables us to reach a larger group of women whose previous barrier to entry may have been a sense of intimidation. Of course, women should feel empowered to participate in any area of exercise they wish.
